Step-by-Step Guide: Syncing Mobile Contacts to Your Grandstream Video Phones GXV3XXX Series

To ensure a smooth synchronization of your Google Contacts with the Grandstream GXV3480 video phone, follow these steps:

Automatic Sync Setup (Android)

  1. On your Grandstream GXV3XXX video phone, download and install both Google Contacts and Google Play Services from the application store.
  2. Navigate to Application Management > Permissions > Contacts. Ensure that contact permissions are enabled for both Google Contacts and Google Play Services.
  3. Reboot the GXV3480 to apply changes and initiate syncing processes.
  4. After the reboot, go to the device’s home screen. Tap the ‘Contacts’ icon on the LCD screen and check if your mobile contacts have successfully synced.

Manual Upload Method

Follow these steps to manually upload your contacts:

  1. Export Contacts from Google – Launch the web browser and navigate to Google Contacts. Select the contacts to export, and then choose the option to export them in VCard format. This format is compatible with most Phonebook Management.
  2. Export Contacts from iCloud (for iOS Users) – Visit iCloud.com/contacts and sign in to your Apple account. In the contacts list, select the contacts you want to export. To select multiple contacts, hold down the Command key (on a Mac) or the Control key (on a Windows PC) while clicking each contact.
  3. Import the VCard to GXV3XXX Video Phones – Go to the Web Interface on your GXV3480. Navigate to Applications and select Contacts. Here, you can import the VCard file you just created.
