
Scenario:
If you are using Grandstream UCM as LDAP Server, you may find that that the contact names are not showing on the phones when you dial out, or on the incoming calls. There are some settings not covered in the LDAP Config guide.
At the UCM
Go to UCM Web UI > System Setting > LDAP Server, each contact name is represented with the ‘CallerID Name’ attribute.

At the Phone
Navigate to the phone’s web interface > Phonebook > LDAP Phonebook, configure the following parameters:
LDAP Name Att

The LDAP contact name will be shown on phone during the inbound and outbound calls.

In the previous firmware version of GRP261x, the ‘Lookup Display Name’ only displays the value of the first attributes on the LCD screen. Now it joins and displays the values of ‘cn’ and ‘sn’ (for eg JOE JOE).
When the ‘Lookup Display Name’ is empty, it will use ‘LDAP Name Attributes, otherwise it will join LDAP Name Attributes.
