Call Park Feature
Call Parking is a feature that allows a person to put a call on hold on one phone and continue or pick up from another phone. It can be activated by pressing the programmable key on an IP Phone. It will transfer the call to an unused ‘Parking Lot’ extension. The callers who are placed in a Parking Lot hear Music on Hold until the call is retrieved.
When a call is parked, a BLF line key on the Grandstream IP phone will show solid red, so that other users know that the parking lot is occupied. Other users can retrieve or resume the call from the parking lot by pressing the BLF line key.
How It Works
Step 1: Configure and define the Parking Lot Extension and Parking Slots in Grandstream UCM63XX. The default parking lot extension is 700 and the parking lots are 701 – 720.
Step 2: Configure Call Park Mode (default value is 700) and set BLF Mode as Parking Slots.
- When the user is on an active call, he presses MPK4 (700) to activate the Call Park.
- The call will be parked on the first available park lot, that is extension or slot 701
- The BLF Key will be in solid red on other phones with slot 701 configured as BLF on MPKs. The other user can pick up the parked call by pressing the slot 701.
